Strategic Plan

 

Reading and Beyond (RaB) created a strategic plan in 2022 to develop a plan of action to help guide the work of RaB. The strategic plan will help ensure programs and services align with the needs of the communities in the Central Valley.

The strategic RaB plan includes the following 10 goals:

GOAL 1: SCHOOL READINESS

Emphasizing the development of the whole child, our Pre-K kindergarten readiness curriculum supports children developing motor, reading, writing, and social skills through activities that are age-appropriate, challenging, and engaging.

GOAL 2: SCHOOL SUCCESS

Provide innovative, research-based, and effective learning solutions for primary education that meet the needs of individual students that are state and nationally recognized.

GOAL 3: COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS

Provide college, trade, technical and career pathways to reduce the number of families who need to access the safety net by providing quality mentorship programs, workshops for adults, and internships.

GOAL 4: FAMILY SUCCESS

Provide quality support programs that assist in the transition of families from poverty to a place that ensures financial security and independence.

GOAL 5: HEALTH

Guide families and support systems on how to navigate the health system and encourage them to proactively participate at all levels of care, including in-person, telehealth, etc. transitioning from sick to health care.

GOAL 6: ADVOCACY

Support and empower individuals and families in accessing and navigating resources by providing information, education, linkages, and community support with the assistance of a Government Relations and Public Affairs committee.

GOAL 7: ORGANIZATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE

Establish and maintain the physical and technological infrastructure necessary to promote optimal efficiency and productivity, and to enhance visibility.

GOAL 8: FINANCIAL STABILITY

Develop and execute a financial plan that supports the long-term financial viability and stability of the organization's ability to sustain its mission and goals.

GOAL 9: PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT

Develop a plan to create ongoing professional development. Create a learning environment for RaB staff and leaders, that demonstrates a commitment to best practices, communication strategies, and leadership development.

GOAL 10: DATA, RESEARCH, AND EVALUATION

Establish and maintain quantitative and qualitative data by developing an evaluation process to assure viability of each program.
