On May 17, Reading and Beyond kicked off a new program called “Reading to Children”. This new component of our tutoring program is designed to invite local community leaders to come read their favorite children’s book to a group of children in our tutoring program and talk to them about the importance of reading and education. The kids have an opportunity to ask questions about their job and learn why reading is important in any career.
