Executive Director, Luis Santana has been invited three times by the White House , to participate in literacy and education forums.

Reading and Beyond was one of five organizations statewide selected for funding by the federal government, to expand its Parent Involvement Program.

In 2007, Executive Director, Luis Santana was one of 11 finalists selected statewide by the James Irvine Foundation for community leadership.

In September 2006, Reading and Beyond was awarded the Salute to Small Business award for “Best Non-Profit”.

Reading and Beyond has been awarded twice by FresnoUnified School Districtfor leadership in serving children in the district.

In October 2006, READING AND BEYOND’s Health Program was highlighted by “Healthy Fresno” as providing Effective Health Education for Fresno’s families and children.

In September 2007, Executive Director, Luis Santana was awarded a “ Local Hero” Award, by Union Bank and Valley Public Television for Reading and Beyond’s impact on the community.

In November 2007, Reading and Beyond was voted “Best Non Profit” by Fresno Magazine’s Best of Fresno readers poll.
